Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different?
This is my first Blog Post and I am really happy that after withnessing all of your beautiful Real Weddings it is now time to share my own.
My gorgeous husband Daniele and I got married in front of 90 of our closest family and friends, December 3rd in the Italian Riviera. The cold simply disappeared that morning and the sun shone over Vallebona as we promised to forever love each other in front of God, before we went on and had rivers of Prosecco, food, food, food, lots of good wine and a wonderful Mario Pinna who made everyone’s feet move until late night.
The awesome Mila Khvan from One Panda Photography and greatest friend Werner Bauer from Werner Bauer Photography were with us and captured it all, and I am just so excited to share their wonderful work and vision of the day.
I haven’t talked much about our wedding but the short version is that Daniele and I choose to get married in our local church, in the Italian Riviera. Luckily, most of our friends and family managed to be here for the day (some also the day before and after ) which made us feel so special and overwhelmed by their love.
We put a lot of focus on our guests’ experience and authenticity. As you well know, I strongly believe in the concept of Positive Luxury so all of our wedding vendors were carefully selected.
My beauty angels on the day were the fabulous Giorgio Maccari from Giorgio Maccari Hairtylist and the talented Irina Awad, Owner & Make up Artist at Allure Makeup. Giorgio choose a elegant updo for my wedding hair beautified with delicate pearl hair pins – Irina completed my wedding look with a delicate, soft bridal makeup.
Daniele got ready with his groomsmen at home. I had my wedding party gathered at the chic B&B “A Ca Du Barba Ge” that Jean Piere and his lovely wife Irene manage in Vallebona.
The Ceremony was so emotional for us both that I almost lost my voice while saying my vows.
Everyone had tea and grappa when the ceremony ended ( just after ALL the rice in Italy was thrown at us) and then headed for the Wedding Venue in Sanremo – Buca Cena Restaurant at the Golf Club deli Ulivi, while we dashed off to take some wedding photos.
Getting married is so much fun !
We had the most spectacular day, enjoyed every minute and felt soooo loved. We were at ease with both Mila and Werner and they understood exactly that we didn’t want to spend to long on the pictures – they got all of the essential family & friends combination in less then 10 minutes. The chef Davide Bisato and his staff from Buca Cena were just amazing on the day. My sweet and kind mother in law ( and trusted florist ) Lorella did not sleep for 2 nights in a row and decorated everything and everywhere with the most beautiful seasonal flowers – and my bouquet, of course, was dreamy.
